Chobits

Computers are becoming more and more popular in our life by the development of  technology. So what will life be like in the future? It is not hard to imagine, we will live without computers and robots. Some people may ask what's chobits? What is the relationship between computer, robot & chobit? Actually, the chobit is put together by computer and robot. As we can see from the picture, it shows some chobits, and they looks like human beings. If you observe clearly, you can see the difference is that the ears of the chobits are total different from human. The ears control the system of the chobits.

Chobits' age is not far away from now, it will be seen in the future. The anime "Chobits" narrates the future robots and what they looks like. The final shape of the robots are chobits which looks like human beings but the ears are different. Chobits can do a lots of things, they will have their own mind, they can think what should do or not, they can talk with human, they are the best friend to human in the future. Their size, appearance, and color are different, human can choose what they like. Human can set the hobby, character, and thinking mode of the chobits.

Crayon Shin-chan (のわら しんのすけ)

The main character Crayon Shin-chan is a 5-year-old boy. His favorite food is chocolate biscuits, ice-cream, pudding, potato chips…but he dislikes all vegetables. The little kindergarten-aged boy always has some inappropriate and strange behavior, which differs from peers. When he sees a beautiful girl, he is easy to be attracted and dreams to have a data with her in one day.

The anime is very popular in Asian. Compared to other character, Crayon Shin-chan is so special. Although he is only a child, his thought likes an adult. He will play with her mum’s cosmetics and laugh at her plump figure. I am always amused by the words hearing from his mouth.

Unfortunately, the author of Crayon Shin-chan died in 2009 after a fall at Mount Arafune. Crayon Shin-chan may be a memory in the anime history!

NARUTO -ナルト

Naruto is one of my favourite anime because of the wonderful story. As we known, Japanese anime have a lot of styles and Naruto is the one describe the friendship and dream. The main character named Naruto and his friends fight for their dreams. All the story is talking about looking for the peace, many people want to maintenance the peace by the arms, but the real peace is totally different from what they thought.

Naruto is drawn by the famous cartoonist Kishimodo Masashi in Japan. Always the young people watch it after school and talk together about the details of Naruto after class. They are not just talk about the story of Naruto, but also the real life. The story is like the miniature of the life. They talk about the dream, the friendship that they learn from Naruto. Always the song in the anime is awesome. I like it so much even though i can't understand Japanese.

Naruto shows lots of group works between partners and how the work together, if you watch it, you may learn a lot about dealing the case between your task and friends.

If you are intersted in Naruto, just go for watching it!

My All Time Favourite

...is Slam Dunk!



I'll sum up the story in one sentence. A high school teenager who joins the basketball team to impress a girl falls in love with the game itself. Sounds simple and stupid right? But this anime has got to be one of the best anime of all time. If you are a fan of basketball or sports in general, then this is a must watch. What I love about it is not only the comedy it provides but also the tension that sports usually supplies (or not) to it's viewers. It was so popular back in the day that it inspired many young asians to play basketball in areas such as Japan and Taiwan.

The only gripe is that the anime is almost 20 years old and the quality is crap compared to modern anime. The manga though is of very high quality, especially in the later books. The anime also leaves out what is in my opinion the most epic game in the story (even though the ones in the anime are not bad). So I recommend anyone who liked the Slam Dunk anime to check out the manga even if you just start off where the anime stops. Trust me you won't regret it.

There has also been whispers that the author, Takehiko Inoue, is ready to do a sequel but I'm not sure that it would be a good idea. I think it would be hard to improve upon where he left off and I hope he doesn't ruin his masterpiece by milking it.

Family Guy :D !!

Family Guy (remember: anime is short for animation) is an American animated television series set in the fictional city of Quahog which centres a dysfunctional family consisting of the Griffins: Peter, Lois, Meg , Chris, Stewie and their pet dog, Brian. The animation parodies various pop culture, past events, history, television and contemporary society.

creative invention?

Stewie (pictured right) is my favourite character; the football shaped baby; despite being a one year old baby, is obsessed with world domination, can speak fluent English and has a wide knowledge base in creating weapons and machines.

He shares a mutual friendship with the family pet, Brian despite constantly calling him a douchebag. In Season 6, when Stewie travels into the future he comes across Brian's grave and writes "douchebag" on his tombstone.

For a westernised cartoon, Family Guy is pretty awesome when it's up against all the Japanese anime out there.

Doraemon ドラえもん

Doraemon is a popular Japanese anime and is loved by children. The main character Doraemon is a cat-like robot from the future. He has a pocket on his abdomen with various amazing tools. In the anime, Doraemon uses these tools to help Nobita and his friends solve many troubles in every new adventure.

Time Machine

Doraemon and his friends could use it to go back to the past (e.g. the Age of the Dinosaur!!) or future. The entrance and exit of the time machine is in the Nobita's desk.

Small Propellers
When Doraemon put it on his head, he can fly anywhere. The battery inside the small propeller could last for 8 hours. In addition, the user controls his flying by psychological induction. So if the user has an irritable mood, the propeller will be out of control!!

I think everyone wants to have a friend like Doraemon when he/she is a kid because we could have fun with him!!!

Death Note ~

L Lawliet

One of my all-time favourite anime is Death Note which is about a teenager, Light Yagami (Kira) who one day mysteriously finds a "death note"; a notebook that allows the user to kill anyone (through suffering a heart attack; unless the user writes a plan of how one's going to die) by writing his/her name while picturing their face on the pages of the notebook. L (Lawliet), considered the world's greatest detective notice unusual numbers of people dying of heart attacks, mainly criminals and so sets out to uncover the cause of these deaths.

Light Yagami

What I most like about the anime is the odd personality of L which I think is the most stand-out character in the anime. Mainly his childish antics, and his obsession with sweets.

Death Note is a psychological thriller which is not suitable for young children. The author must have been on drugs to come up with such a twisted story!!
